EOS is a blockchain platform designed to create decentralized applications (gapps) of any scale. The project is distinguished by the absence of transaction fees or "gas", the whitepaper says that IOS can process millions of transactions per second, and also uses the original DPoS (Delegated Proof-of-Stake) consensus algorithm.

The EOSIO Coalition is an organization composed of multiple EOSIO blockchains united to advance and sustain development of the open source EOSIO protocol. 

Currently composed of representatives from #EOS, #WAX, #TELOS, and #UX blockchains, the coalition meets each week to discuss and advance initiatives for the mutual benefit of all member blockchains and the open-source EOSIO codebase.
