EOS is a blockchain platform designed to create decentralized applications (gapps) of any scale. The project is distinguished by the absence of transaction fees or "gas", the whitepaper says that IOS can process millions of transactions per second, and also uses the original DPoS (Delegated Proof-of-Stake) consensus algorithm.
